I've been looking for custom eyeshadow palette because my Sephora mini custom eyeshadow case has broken into pieces! It was troublesome for me to travel with an eyeshadow palette because it is huge, how can a palette fit into a clutch bag? It's really impossible! No doubt, I did went around the malls to look for empty eyeshadow palette. I found out that the palette is either too big or too small, expensive and it has fixed eyeshadow holes without magnet.
I thought of making my own eyeshadow palette but it is really hard to find the right case. However, in the end I found it! and I can't wait to share the method with you =) So here goes!
Things you need
- Empty palette. I got this from Elianto for only RM12! The case has rubber hole (if you can understand my language), I just take it out and TADA. EMPTYY
- Magnet sheet. I got it from DAISO
- Pen and ruler
- Scissors
Step 1
Measure the magnet sheet according to the size of your palette.Cut the sheet with a pair of scissors
Step 2
Measure again with your case so that it fits properly =)
Step 3
Peel of the sticker at the back of the magnet sheet and stick on your palette
Tada, you have your own custom palette! =D
The great thing about this palette that the magnet can hold the eyeshadow pots well. It doesnt fall even though I hold the palette upside down.
Another great thing is, this whole new palette is cost only RM17
Case RM12 + Magetic Sheet RM5
What a budget beauty here!
Now I can depot my eyeshadows without worries! =)
What do you think about this DIY? Leave your comment below and we shall with a little chit-chat

I love makeup. Unfortunately, my makeup does not stay as long as it should! It starts to smudge after two hours or three, especially when I'm running around like mad under the hot sun (university, shhh!) In order to prevent from smudging and become like a panda, it is best to buy makeup fix spray from those brands which would cost me a fortune. For a bottle of makeup fix spray, it costs roughly above MYR100!
that is mad, okay.
HOWEVER, I found out a method to make myself a makeup fix spray with simple ingredients and steps! (Thanks to GOOGLE!) Seriously, those ingredients are available in most local pharmacies and make-up supply stores. I was so happy about it and eager to share with you guys on how I made my very own makeup fix spray!
First thing first, we gather the stuff before making it. All you need is:
- Water. Any water will do
- Toner/ Essential Oil
- Glycerin. I bought baby mouth wash because it contains 100% pure glycerin, which mean....acceptable lah.
- An empty spray bottle
Steps:
Then, add 3 parts of water |
And last, just add 1 or 2 drops of toner into the bottle! |
At last! The making of makeup fix spray is COMPLETE! Whenever you want to use it, SHAKE IT BEFORE YOU SPRAY! To see whether it works or not, I decided to spray it before heading out. When I returned back to my home, I found out that my makeup still stayed after four hours!

Probably the best DIY project I have done for a time being. I purposely did a heavy makeup (heavy eye makeup, contours and highlights) to see the results of applying this awesome makeup fix spray and it works very well :)
Hopefully this post could help those who need makeup fix spray like me without burning our purses.
Tell me if it works on you or not!

Hello there, I am actually a big fan of Michelle Phan because of her pretty makeup tutorials and also her DIY tutorials! It helps me a lot and it does save a lot of moolah instead of purchasing those expensive facial skin care products. This time, I would like share on one of her DIY tutorials: Avocado Tea Mask, requested by Laura Lee (check her awesome blog yo!).
If you had noticed, many beauty products contain avocado. Avocado is a nutritious fruit, it has Vitamin A, B and E which would nourish the skin and promote growth of new cell! This fruit mask is suitable for all types of skin, which is why Avocado is the bomb!
Other than that, green tea is an ultimate ingredient in antioxidants, which help to protect body from free radicals. So technically, it promotes young skin. Yeah! FREE from old witch face in Disney Snow White movie because that looks pretty scary!! With avocado and green tea, you know your skin will be thankful to you.
To start of the making of the mask, you will need:
- Spatula
- Knife
- Strainer
- Plate
- Small cup
- Big bowl
First,
cut the avocado into half and spoon out the fillings into the bowl.
This looks nasty. |
Secondly, let's us start brewing the green tea! Since i don't have any green tea powder with me, I shall green use tea leaf instead. Add hot water into the cup and steep it for around 30 seconds depends on the type of the green tea leaf. After that, remove the tea leaf from the cup with stainer and keep the brewed leaf! Enjoy your delicious green tea too!
Next,
mix the avocado fillings with the brewed green tea leaf well, we want the smooth texture.
Stir mix stir LOL |
Getting there... |
That's it!
this is the avocado tea mask
Please don't hate the colour and the look of the mask. |
Once you have done the mask, put it into a container and conceal it then store it in the refrigerator. The next time when you want to do your mask, just take out from the fridge and apply it right onto your face. It will give you smooth and cooling feelings, that is so comfortable okay! One thing, I do not know how long exactly should I store for the mask so I will dispose it within a week of more than a week. Heh.
Apply the mask onto your face for roughly 10 minutes, this simple making mask will instantly transform your face into smooth, clear and radiant skin! How cool is that!?I tried this mask and it works fine for me so if there's anything happened to your skin while tempting to do this mask... consult a doctor or specialist right away okay?!
However, if your skin worked so well with this mask. Give me a thumb-up on my Facebook page, I will appreciate it alright! Thankies
xoxo
